2015 Lake Station Sign in Downtown
In 2015 the Association along with individual member donations purchased and installed a Welcome to Lake Station sign in downtown that has become a focal point for the Pere Marquette Depot and Trailhead
Pere Marquette State Trail Trailhead Project in Lake Station
In 2016 the CLIA made a significant donation to the Township’s Trailhead Project funded in partnership with the MDNR to transform the historic depot area into a Trailhead location for outdoor enthusiasts who wish to access the East-West Pere Marquette State Trail.
Clare County Art Council Display Project
CLIA will continue support of the Clare County Arts Council Project Art display at the Depot in downtown Lake Station.. Started in 2024 each year artist will display their art work throughout Clare and the surrounding communities. We are excited to host a new 2025 Piece “Kaleidoscope” beginning in May. In the picture to the right is our 2024 piece “Reflective Journey”
Crooked Lake Point of Interest Sign
Plans are in the Works to create and install a sign depicting Crooked Lake on S. Lake Station Ave to inform motorist traveling into our community which lake they are viewing at the scenic sharp curve heading into our out of town to the South.
Community Metal Wire Art Project
CLIA has co-funding a project to create a unique charicture in the Downtown Depot location with a local Artist, Jeff Best, who excels in creating people, animals and characters in metal wire art sculptures.. Next time you get a chance go down and visit Otto and Gunney they are heading home after a day of fishing. They are next to the pavilion
Total Donations to Art & Culture
Upon completion of the all projects and/or donations here, CLIA will have invested in over $14,000 in our community
In 2024 CLIA is sponsoring an Art Piece from the Clare County Arts Council Sculpture Walk. The piece will be on Display until May of 2025
